Lake Capture 50 cm tasks a SkySat satellite to image the area you draw at 50 cm resolution. Every capture shows the date and time it was collected. A capture records what was visible from above at that moment, under that day's light, clarity and weather; it is not a trend. Mapped extents are interpretations of the imagery. Submerged vegetation is visible only in clear, shallow water, and plant identifications should be confirmed in the field before any treatment decision. A capture cannot identify an organism, a toxin, or a pollutant, and the absence of a visible bloom does not mean the water is safe. Results can help you make decisions about safe swimming, but are not definitive for every place and time, and it is always good practice to check posted signs and your state or local health authorities.
